Weather Radials 2013 poster

Weather Radials 2013 poster, hanging on the office wall

The year of world-wide weather on your wall

The 2013 Weather Radials poster tells the whole story of the four seasons on a global scale—it illustrates what it means to live in Rejkjavik, Los Angeles and Seoul. Each Weather Radial visualizes the specifics of a city’s climate and the actual weather of each day in one single iconic visualization.

Each city is presented as unique information visualization. Every radial illustrates the climatical characteristics of a place as well as that year’s particular local weather events. You can easily spot the unusually wet spring in Berlin, the prolonged heat wave in Washington, D.C., the record temperatures in Sydney and the monsoon season in Mumbai. To highlight the stories behind the raw weather data, we hand-picked almost a hundred weather events: extreme weather conditions, temperature records, and other meteorological anecdotes of 2013.
